What: Beginning in 2014, the Rutgers University department of Athletics Development office, the R Fund, introduced its marquee annual athletics event. Now known as the "Scarlet Knight On The Banks," previously the 50-Yard Line Dinner, this exclusive and memorable night is open to only a select group of those who support our student-athletes and athletic programs through the R Fund.

Why: The annual Legacy Award, now known as the Scarlet Legacy Award and previously known as the 1869 Legacy Award, is given to a donor or couple annually that has made a lifetime impact on Rutgers Athletics through their generous contributions, involvement and commitment to our student-athletes.

How: R Fund members at the Scarlet Society Giving Level ($250,000+ lifetime), Legends' Circle Annual Giving Level ($25,000+) and All-American Annual Giving Level ($10,000+) all receive invites to the annual Scarlet Knight On The Banks. Additionally, members of the R Fund Student Society (just $25 annually) receive an invitation.
