TICKETS & PRIORITY POINT FAQ

Q: Why are priority point deadlines different for football and men's basketball?
A: We begin allocating seating and parking for football at an earlier date than basketball. Any gift that you would like to be counted towards your Football priority points needs to be made between July 1st and April 30th.

Q: Must my seat fee for my Football or Basketball season tickets be directed to the R Scholarship Fund (RSF)?
A: Yes. Your seat fee must be designated to the R Scholarship Fund and should be paid through your ticket representative or your online account.

Q: Is my seat fee to the Rutgers Scholarship Fund tax deductible?
A: Due to new federal tax legislation, Rutgers Scholarship Fund seat fees are no longer tax deductible as of January 1, 2018. Any gift made to athletics above required seat fees, is tax deductible.

Q: Will I still receive priority points for my seat fee payments to the Rutgers Scholarship Fund?
A: Yes, any payments toward the Rutgers Scholarship Fund will still be counted towards priority points for football, basketball, and wrestling. Any seat fee payments will also count towards your R Fund membership level.

Q: Can I lose my seat location to someone who donates more than me?
A: No. If you meet the ticket payment and gift requirements associated with your seating on time then you hold right of first refusal to your current seat locations.

Q: How are requests for Americans with Disabilities Act (handicap) parking treated in the priority parking process?
A: Request for ADA parking will be treated in the very same manner as all other priority parking requests. Season ticket holders requesting ADA parking must provide a state mandated handicap placard to the ticket office in order to be eligible. Those who are eligible can receive ADA parking based upon the minimum donation and priority point requirements for each lot. As with other priority parking opportunities, ADA parking supplies are limited. Priority Points requirements vary each year for each lot, depending on the demand, and the Priority Points totals for other R Fund donors.
