Good morning, R Fund Members and Rutgers Nation,
Today, it was formally announced that I accepted the Vice President and Director of Athletics role at Rowan University. While eager and excited to join the Rowan community in the coming months, I am equally grateful for the many years of engagement with you and our passionate fan base.
Rutgers is a special place! The Banks will forever be the Birthplace of College Football. It is the destination where we witnessed glorious buzzer-beaters and game-winning goals. It is home to Olympic Gold Medal legends like Carli Lloyd and inspirational greats such as Eric LeGrand.
Personally, it is the very place where I developed under exceptional leadership as a student-athlete over 20 years ago, and now transition — battle-tested, polished, and ready to serve — to lead the Rowan University Athletics community.
Thank you to Rutgers is fitting; however, more appropriately, thank YOU — the individual! You, for investing your time, talent, and treasure into an institution we love, a student body our society needs to be prepared for life beyond the game, and a community that will withstand the ebbs and flows of the various iterations of college athletics. I hope and pray that you realize how important you are to the success of this athletics department and university, and remain committed to helping advance Rutgers to greater heights! To my esteemed colleagues with the Rutgers University Foundation/R Fund and Rutgers Athletics, thank you for all you do, seen and unseen, for the RU community.
